Why I Love It
Books about farm life are usually a solid bet for the under-three crowd, but Big Red Barn stands out for being particularly soothing. Starring familiar farm animals going about their daily routine, Brownβs text is cozy and comforting, while Bondβs illustrations are fun to pore over (we like to look for the Snoopy bucket and count the eggs in the chickenβs nest). Itβs a very subtle bedtime read and an excellent stand-in when you canβt bear to read Goodnight Moon one more time.
