Why I Love It
There’s a joke amongst chicken owners about “chicken math”— own a few quickly becomes, well, more (we went from our original flock of 6 to 14 within a year!). In this nearly wordless board book, Flora (of Flora and the Flamingo, which we have admittedly not read) dances around the new additions, struggling to keep up. The fold-out pages are fun and immerse the reader in the frenzied activity of the story. The freshly hatched chicks are adorably drawn balls of fluff (my personal favorite is the lone brown chick), each with their own personality.
